The paper deals with the forest buffer zone established with bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) which is located in the Kajtasovo which is part of the Hydro system Danube-Tisa- Danube within the Public entreprise "Vode Vojvodine". The edafic and climatic factors of this area have been studied and the bioecological evaluation of the Taxoidum distichum trees has been performed. On the basis of the obtained data, meausers for revitalization of the trees are proposed.
