Abstract

This paper presents the results of examinations of wood of 11 white willows (Salix alba) clones, (aged 13 years), of which 4 are registered, and 7 are in the process of evaluation and selection. On the samples of the selected model trees at DBH was carried out measuring the width of growth rings, wood volume density, wood fiber length and chemical composition in groups of compounds. Statistical analysis (ANOVA) of the obtained results showed statistically significant differences of most properties between examined willow clones.
