AUTHOR GUIDELINES
The manuscript can be submitted in Serbian (Latin letter) or in English. Manuscript files can be in the following formats: DOC and DOCX. The length of the manuscript should not exceed 15 A4 sized pages, including tables, figures and photographs. The authors should ensure the text of their paper is double-spaced (Line and Paragraph Spacing/ 2,0) and has consecutive line numbering.
All margins (top, bottom and side) should be set at one inch (2,54 cm). The preferred type of Font to be used is Times New Roman, size 12 pt. All paragraphs have to be indented one-half of an inch (1,27 cm). The manuscript text should be both left and right margins justified.
TITLE PAGE
The title page should contain the brief title, name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliations.
The TITLE should be concise and informative, without any abbreviations. It should be written with CAPITAL and bold letters, Font Size 14 pt, Centered.
AUTHOR NAMES AND AFFILIATIONS. The Name and SURNAME of the authors should be written Centered. The authors' affiliation addresses have to be presented below their names. All affiliations should be indicated with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author's surname and in front of the appropriate address. Full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name and the e-mail address of each author should be provided. Corresponding author has to be indicated by (*).
The ABSTRACT should not exceed 250 words. It should state briefly the main objective(s) of the study, the most important results and major conclusions. No references should be cited in this part.
KEYWORDS – Immediately after the abstract, about 4 to 8 keywords should be given.
STRUCTURE OF THE PAPER
Research manuscripts have to contain the essential chapters – INTRODUCTION, MATERIAL AND METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION and CONCLUSIONS. The sections RESULTS AND DISCUSSION may be separated, or combined to create a mixed RESULTS AND DISCUSSION section. The CONCLUSION section may be presented separately, or in the form of a subsection within the DISCUSSION, or the RESULTS AND DISCUSSION section.
The sections might be divided into subsections, each with a concise subheading. Section and subsection titles should be written in bold, left aligned, Font Size 12 pt.
Tables, figures and photos should be clear and informative, marked with Arabic numerals according to their sequence in the text, and a brief title explaining components of the table or describing accurately what the figure depicts. The titles should be provided in the text file of the manuscript, not in the table or the figure file. Any explanation essential to the understanding of them should be given as a footnote below the table. The same data should not be presented in both of these ways. Tables, figures and photos should be submitted separately from the manuscript text, but their place should be marked in the text. Figures and photos should be in the following formats: PNG, TIFF and JPG, and have a minimum resolution of 600 dpi.
REFERENCES
Citations along the text must report the name of the author (and wherever appropriate of the second author) followed by the year of publication.
In case of more than two authors, the name of the first author is followed by "et al." (no italic). Papers by the same authors and published in the same year have to be labelled with the letters a, b, c, etc.
Multiple citations along the text must be in chronological order, separated by semicolon. Example of in-text citations:

- (Kovačević and Igić, 2018; Milović et al. 2021)
- (Kostić et al. 2021a; Kostić et al. 2021b).
The list of references has to be placed at the end of manuscript text, in a separate section named REFERENCES. Only the references cited in the text should be listed in the references section. References should be numbered and listed in alphabetical order according to the surname of the first author. Full name of journals (not abbreviations) should be reported in the reference.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION
Measurement units should be written using the internationally accepted signs and symbols for units (SI) and their abbreviations.
Genus and species names should be in italics.
Only standard abbreviations should be used. The abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORS
Plagiarism is not acceptable in journal POPLAR.
Plagiarism includes copying text, images or data from another source, even from the previously published author’s publications, without giving any credit to the original source.
The journal may use software to screen for plagiarism.
PROOFS
Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author's address as given on the title page. At this stage, only critical changes can be made, such as data corrections or names of missing authors. Extensive content related revisions initiated by authors at this stage should be avoided. The corresponding author is expected to check with all the co-authors for their approval on any changes.
