Abstract
Outbreaks of aphid Chaitophorus leucomelas Koch are very common on the black poplars in Serbia. The use of insecticides is the effective measure to reduce the high level of the population of pest. The results of efficacy of insecticides thiamethoxam, bifenthrin, acetamiprid and buprofezin in the control of C. leucomelas are presented in this paper. The high efficacy of insecticides thiamethoxam and acetamiprid was obtained. Insecticide bifenthrin had good initial efficacy, but also poor residual activity, while buprofezin insecticide did not show adequate efficacy.
