Abstract

Nurseries of Public water management company "Vode Vojvodine" are facilities for the production of poplars and willows, and we also produce some other kinds of seedlings such as: elm, black locust, oak, etc. The production itself takes place on deep alluvial soil, and we produce seeding material in two ways: vegetative and generative. The production facilities are composed in several sections where we use appropriate agro-technical measures and care that is needed for breeding seeding material. These facilities are in fact a unique system that is fully adapted to the specific needs and characteristics of the water management field and business. Their role and purpose is adapted to the needs of a successful maintenance and reconstruction of existing forests along the canals Danube-Tisa-Danube and establishing continuity of forest management in general.
