Weed Vegetation in Poplar Rooting Beds

Abstract

During 2002, weed vegetation phytocoenology has been studied in poplar rooting beds on different soil types at the experimental estate of the Poplar Research Institute. Aiming at the successful solution of the problem of weeds, inter alia, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of weed vegetation. This paper presents weed species identified at three sites (Lugarnica, Fišter and Petrovaradin). In poplar rooting bed the dominant species are broad- leaf weed species, while grass species are less represented.
